THE ORIGIN OF THE BAGEL
The bagel began in Poland, where ring-shaped breads such as the obwarzanek were baked for centuries.
According to a popular legend, the modern bagel was born in 1683 after King Jan Sobieski III led Polish forces to victory at the Battle of Vienna. To honor the king's victory, a local baker is said to have shaped an obwarzanek into a circle resembling his stirrup.

INSPIRATION
In Polish culture, food is more than a meal. It's a way of bringing family together, preserving traditions, and passing stories from one generation to the next.
As a Polish American, there will always be a special place in my heart for my family and the traditions they passed down around the dinner table.

THE LOGO
The "O" of the Rano logo is shaped like a stirrup with a traditional Polish pottery symbol at its center. This symbol can be used as the brand mark either in the circle stirrup or as the symbol alone.
THE brand ILLUSTRATION
The Rano mascot is a hand drawn horse filled with traditional Polish symbols and pottery motifs, inspired by King Jan Sobieski III's horse.

THE COLORS
The color palette is inspired by traditional Polish pottery, which is known for its distinctive hand-painted blue patterns on a white background. Using navy, light blue, and white connects the brand to this long-standing craft tradition.
